Guide to Help You Enjoy you Holiday in Canary Islands

All inclusive Canary Islands holidays are to the west of Morocco in the Atlantic Sea and are thought of as essentially Spanish. The Canaries are warm retreats with slight winds and a varied range of landscapes to choose from thanks to their previous lives as volcanic islands 14 million years ago. Gran Canaria is the largest of the seven main islands on all inclusive Canary Islands holidays. The eastern islands are part of the Las Palmas province of Spain while the western islands belong to Santa Cruz.

Tenerife is probably the best place to visit for the full Canary Islands holiday experience. Tenerife is part of the western islands and it has a number of main areas to vacate on such as Puerto De La Cruz, Santa Cruz De Tenerife, Candelaria and Los Cristianos. Neighbouring islands west to Tenerife on Carnary Islands holidays include la Palma, El Hierro and La Gomera. Tenerife in the language of the ancient Guanche settlers that once inhabited the Canaries means "Snowy Mountain"- a slight contradiction to the island's climate nowadays. The name is actually a nod to Mount Teide, the dormant volcano which made the islands rugged, rocky landscape.

Vacating on the largest island of Gran Canaria is where you get a true taste of what all inclusive Canary Islands holidays have to offer. You can find Fuerteventura and Lanzarote at the east of Gran Canaria and these are also great holiday spots. Gran Canaria is also the most popular destination on all inclusive Canary Islands holidays because of its steep cliffs, rocky coves and yellow sand dunes.

I have had holidays on all the Canary Islands, Favourite when I was younger was Play del Ingles in Gran Canaria. Now I am older I find Lanzarote the best. I normally go out of season now, byt the weather is still great. Gary Forester

Canary Islands is the only place I would consider going on holiday. The last twice I have gone all inclusive board to Gran Canaria and Tenerife, and it's true what they say, I'll never go any other board again. Very highly recomended. Elise Fisher
