The region is a placid secluded beach resort near the busier towns of Bavaro and Uvero Alto. Most of the hotels are low rise buildings that try to blend in with the tropical plant life and lagoons around the Punta Cana region. The climate here is hot and humid with just the right touch of wind. Temperatures average around 26 degrees and the warmest days are between April to November. The flat landscape around Punta Cana means that the resort experiences very little rain showers although the air is humid enough for flowers and fauna to thrive. Water sports are one of the main draws on Punta Cana holidays. The sea shore has lots to offer tourists such as scuba diving, windsailing, fishing and yachting. These water activities are usually organised by nearby hotels that also provide spas, golfing, kids clubs and excellent food. Most hotels re English speaking but you may need to know a few phrases in Spanish if you want to venture around the outskirts of your resort on Punta Cana holidays. Other attractions on all inclusive Punta Cana holidays outside the hotel include a trip to the Marinarium. This is a water park where you can practice snorkelling while seeing some of the local marine life first hand.
