Guide to Help You Enjoy you Holiday in Sosua All inclusive Sosua holidays are on the Dominican Republic’s north coast 110 miles northwest of Santo Domingo. Sosua is a large town of about 45,000 people and is set on top of a cliff with a road that meanders down to the beach. All inclusive Sosua holidays can be taken in one of either two places, Los Charamicos on its western side and El Batey on its eastern district. The beach is in front of a path lined with the usual tourist bars, restaurants and cafes you would expect to find but the real draw on Sosua holidays is the fantastic water sports. A nearby coral reef is a popular scuba diving spot and there is also a shipwreck near there called the Zingara which is another interesting place to explore. Diving trips are available with local operators on Sosua holidays. The Museo Judio Sosua is open from Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm Monday to Friday and half day on Sunday and is worth a visit if you are looking for a history fix on all inclusive Sosua holidays. The museum is attached to the local synagogue built there following the settlement of Austrian and German Jewish refugees in the 1940’s during the 2nd world war. If this isn’t really your thing on all inclusive Sosua holidays you can always head to one of the nearest beaches. Playa Sosua beach is only about a kilometre long but it is a beautiful spot full of lively shops and good facilities. |
