Chorro de Maita sits three miles east of Guardalavaca holidays. It is an archaeological park complete with a reconstructed pre-Columbian village and skeletons found on the site. The park is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm and opening half day until 1pm on Sundays. It is the largest pre-Columbian village unearthed in the Caribbean and makes for a curious trip away from all the beach bums and party animals on the main Guardalavaca holiday strip.
Bahia De Narajano has some impressive nature trails but there and there is also an interesting local aquarium with sea lion and dolphin shows on all inclusive Guardalavaca holidays.
