Take a look in the museum’s garden where you will find the reconstruction of a prehistoric cave featuring genuine ancient rock carvings and drawings. Elephantine Island is the oldest part of Aswan yet is uninhabited. It sits in the Nile and looks out on to the Aga Khan Mausoleum to the west and Ferial gardens on the east.
