    Venetian Riviera

Murano is a cluster of small islands which you can explore via the connecting bridges on Venetian Riviera holidays. It is infamous for its glassmaking industry and you will certainly find plenty of shops selling glass vases and ornaments around the area. The industry first started here in 1291 when the glass making furnaces in Venice were moved here in case of fire damage and some of the houses and dwellings actually date back to this time. Murano is home to Museo Vetrario which tells the story of the glass industry. The museum includes some incredible glassware antiques produced in Murano including the dark blue Bovier wedding cup, probably the most expensive in the stunning collection. After visiting the wonderful exhibits you will understand why some go on holidays in Venetian Riviera to see the glass alone.

Burano is full of brightly coloured sugar cube houses and is probably one of the most visually appealing places to visit on all inclusive holidays Venetian Riviera. Be sure to step inside the Museo Dei Merletto, a celebration of Burano’s former lace industry. The museum was a former lace making school and you can take the opportunity to see authentic Burano lace being made on this trip on your Venetian Riviera all inclusive.
