Guide to Help You Enjoy you Holiday in Majorca All inclusive Majorca holidays are on one of the largest Balearic Islands with neighbouring Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera. The island is made up of several regions including Serra De Tramuntana, Palma De Mallorca, Pla De Mallorca, Raiguer, Migjorn and Llevant. All inclusive Majorca holidays offer a range of different activities unique to these regions. The Tramuntana mountains and hills are amazing hiking attractions on Majorca holidays. The little hillside village of Deia charms visitors with its romantic nostalgic atmosphere as creeping vines and flowers decorate the little houses scattered around its small expanse. Alcudia, Cala Ratjada and Cala D’or are the main tourist draws. Alcudia is a busy built up development near the capital of Palma full of crowded golden stretches, sports bars and family restaurants. Cala Ratjada in the Raiguer province is most favoured by German tourists but there are a good few English hotels and bars as well on Majorca holidays to choose from. Cala D’or is a small but perfectly formed family development with smaller beaches than the other two busier resorts but just as nice all the same. A glorious range of beaches is on offer on all inclusive Majorca holidays. Alcudia is home to one main sandy beach brilliant for water sports, football and volleyball. There are even stands to watch games if you are more of a spectator than a player. The crystal sea waters also siphon off into a small shallow river which is a keen fishing haunt with locals and tourists alike. As mentioned before, Cala D’or’s beaches are a lot smaller but are just as beautiful nonetheless. Walk down stone steps past a few beach shops selling inflatables and flip-flops to the warm sandy main shore or stroll a little further east to discover a less crowded beach preferred by German tourists as it is near some of the more German populated hotels. All inclusive Majorca holidays make great beach holidays as their shores offer something for everyone, from lazy single tourists to families with young children. |
